Thank You

In our Courageous series and ‘All In’ campaign, we gave and pledged towards our vision as a church for the coming year. It is amazing what can be achieved when we unite together and all play our part.

Together, we committed £169,000 to impact lives here in Milton Keynes and across the world in Uganda and India. Your gifts are already in action transforming lives. Read on to discover our progress so far...

Vocational Training School

In less than 11 weeks, the vocational training school in Uganda has been built and is now ready to open on 30th January. Through your generosity, George Ridley, LightForce International Director, has also been able to arrange the following:

• rent of 100 acres of land for farming next to school
• appointed 4 teachers and cook for agricultural school
• ordered 25 sewing machines
• desks, tables, chairs made to furnish new building
• identified suppliers for livestock, including cows, goats, pigs, and chickens

All our schools - nursery, primary, agriculture and vocational, will open 30th January 2017. Through your generosity we have also been able to sponsor children to gain an education that would otherwise not be available to them. Through the Courageous All In campaign, we are sponsoring:

• 44 children in our nursery and primary school
• 16 children in other schools

India Gospel Mission & Home of Faith

MKCC & LightForce International are partnering with two amazing ministries in India. It was so good to be able to connect with Pastor Joe Williams and sister Pearlyn from India Gospel Mission on their recent visit. Following their time with us, we have been able to arrange the following:
• We have committed to supporting 10 tuition centres attached to churches in areas of intense persecution, 3 already running.
• 7 new tuition centres to begin in 2017
• We have built a small house for a pastor (£350) enabling his family to leave the church hall for tuition centre

In addition to this we continue to support Sunitha and the Home of Faith in Andhra Pradesh. We have
• fitted new doors and windows, and plastered walls
• developed a kitchen garden.

Can you help us?

As you know our vision at MKCC is to add a second venue in Milton Keynes where we can meet and people can be brought to Jesus. Eventually we would like this venue to be a permanent facility which we can call our own. However, building a new facility is expensive and the lead in time to build is long.

So it is highly likely that the new venue is will start in a hired facility from week to week. We have a team of people looking at all sorts of building across Milton Keynes. Including hotels, schools, community centres, cinemas and meeting places.

We are ideally looking for a venue with a hall to seat at least 200 people and additional rooms for Discovery Kids. If you know of, live near, or work near a venue like this in Milton Keynes we would love to hear from you. Please send an email to billy@mkcc.org.uk.
